چکیده
Abstract By conducting numerical simulations of Treasure Island site in 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake, the Hilbert-Huang transform was used to study soil liquefaction. The UBC3D-PLM constitutive model simulate dynamic behavior sand, non-liquefied simulated by Hardening Small Strain model, and seismic information recorded PEER database for deconvolution analysis one-dimensional equivalent linear method, within motion applied. Rayleigh damping is simulation process, ratio 5%. Based on analysis, it concluded that can effectively soil. amplification peak acceleration from bottom Sandy fill ground surface, low-frequency content shifted due liquefaction process transmission high-frequency identified at surface.

An Improved Method for Seismic Site Characterization with Emphasis on Liquefaction Phenomenon
Iran is an active seismic region. Earthquake damage is commonly controlled by three interacting factors including source and path characteristics, local geological and geotechnical conditions and type of the structures. Obviously, all of this would require analysis and presentation of a large amount of geological, seismological and geotechnical data. In this paper, nonlinear geotechnical seismi...

متن کاملNumerical simulation of liquefaction susceptibility of soil interacting by single pile
Previous case histories have shown that soil liquefaction severely damaged many structures supported on pile foundations during earthquakes. As a result, evaluating the potential for instability is an important consideration for the safe and resistant design of deep foundation against earthquakes. In this study, the liquefaction susceptibility of saturated sand interacting by single concrete pi...
متن کاملLiquefaction Opportunity Mapping via Seismic Wave Energy
An empirical, energy-based methodology for liquefaction hazard assessment and microzonation mapping is presented. The approach is probabilistic, considers the uncertainty in the liquefaction criterion, and is applicable to most earthquake-induced liquefaction analyses. The examples illustrated are for water-saturated sands at level ground. The energy of ground shaking is estimated from the Four...
متن کاملApplication of Two Different Constitutive Models for Numerical Simulation of Liquefaction
Liquefaction phenomenon in saturated loose sandy layers occurs as an undrained response of soil when it is subjected to static or dynamic loads. A fully coupled dynamic numerical program is developed to predict the liquefaction potential of saturated sandy layers. Coupled dynamic field equations of extended Biot’s theory with u-p formulation are used to determine pore fluid and soil skeleton re...
